Littles from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County enjoyed a holiday shopping experience at Macy’s at Coral Square, where they were treated to breakfast and a special gift-buying spree ahead of the holidays.
The event, held Dec. 17, gave participating children the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts using gift cards provided through the organization’s annual holiday fundraising campaign, Share the Season. The morning began with breakfast inside the store before the Littles set out to select their gifts.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County has served the community for more than 50 years, providing mentoring relationships designed to help young people reach their full potential. Through one-to-one mentoring, the organization works to build self-confidence and emotional well-being, encourage academic success, and help youth plan for a positive future.
The nonprofit’s mission is to ignite the power and promise of youth through meaningful mentorship.
