Fedie Ovil wants to give seniors a chance to age in place in a pleasant residential home community.

As the administrator of Jubilee Home Assisted Living of Coral Springs, Ovil and her husband, Guerlin, have created a living space for people who need individualized care that promotes independence and well-being.

They celebrated Jubilee’s grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 17, hosted by the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce and attended by community leaders, including Mayor Scott Brook.

“I always love to welcome new businesses to Coral Springs, and I want you to be successful,” Brook said.

Jubilee will continue its grand-opening celebration with a community open house from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. Visitors can tour the facility and learn about its services and residential setting.

After the ribbon-cutting, guests toured Jubilee, a single-family-style home in a residential neighborhood. It features a swimming pool and private and shared bedrooms for residents. According to Ovil, the home includes televisions in all rooms, cable and internet, games and activities, and a comfortable environment.

“I have worked in larger assisted living facilities, and I want to create a more comfortable environment for our residents,” Ovil said. “My goal is to have a warm, comfortable setting where residents feel safe, valued and respected. We will have engaging activities and opportunities to stay active.”

Jubilee is an extended congregate care facility that provides enhanced care in a place that feels like home while allowing people to age in place with dignity and trust, according to Ovil. The facility promotes caring support and comfortable living, with spaces designed to make residents feel at home.

The facility is located at 846 NW 84th Lane in Coral Springs. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
