Costumes, candy and decorated trunks will fill Coral Air Plaza when New Springs Church hosts its Community Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The free event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church, 11464 W. Sample Road in Coral Springs, and is open to everyone, regardless of church affiliation.
Families can enjoy a costume contest, games, family-friendly activities and music from a live DJ. Church volunteers will decorate trunks, distribute candy and help organize activities.
Slimeology will host an interactive slime-making station, with slime available for purchase. Food and sweet treats will also be sold by participating vendors, including Kona Ice, Vito’s Pizza, A Tasty Mouthful and local baker Cass & Crumb.
The church is partnering with neighboring Coral Air Plaza businesses Beyond Play, Coral Springs Academy of Dance, Escape With Colors and Ever Joy Creations to bring the community together.
Families are encouraged to wear costumes and invite friends and neighbors. Admission is free, while food and select vendor activities cost extra.
Founded in Coral Springs in 2019, New Springs Church is led by Pastor Gavin Felix and holds Sunday services at 10:30 a.m.
