Parkridge Christian High School has a new head softball coach in Alivia Taibl, who brings Division I playing experience and a passion for developing young athletes.
After playing two years of Division I softball at Stetson University, Taibl is excited to begin the next chapter of her softball career and help build a competitive program at Parkridge.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity to be the new coach at Parkridge,” Taibl said. “Coaching is something I’ve wanted to get into, especially because softball has been such a big part of my life.”
Her decision to coach came from a desire to stay involved in the sport while sharing the knowledge and experience she gained throughout her playing career. She hopes to help her players improve their skills, build confidence and develop a strong mentality both on and off the field.
Taibl also credits her former high school coach, Mark Montimurro, for teaching her the importance of preparation and attention to detail.
“He taught me that winning starts with preparation,” she said. “It’s about having the right mentality, knowing your opponent, and working on the little things in practice that make a difference when you get into a game.”
While she understands there will be a learning curve as a first-time coach, Taibl is eager to work with her players and establish a competitive culture at Parkridge.
“I’m excited to be able to share what I’ve learned over the years and help these girls grow, not just as players but as people, too,” she said.
