Brayden Peeler is taking his golf career to the international stage after being selected to represent Iraq on the national golf team.
Peeler will have the opportunity to compete for Iraq while continuing a strong stretch on the junior golf circuit.
“I think it’s a great opportunity, but the biggest thing is just staying patient,” Peeler said. “I’m changing some things with my game right now, and I just need to remind myself to stay patient and play Brayden Peeler golf. If I do that, I can accomplish anything I want to.”
Peeler has produced several impressive results in 2026. He finished fifth in a South Florida PGA Medalist Tour event at PGA National after rounds of 77 and 69 and later shot a 66 in the final round of the South Florida PGA Junior PGA Championship. He also recorded rounds of 76, 76, and 72 at the Brendan Cunningham Junior Open.
Peeler qualified for the South Florida PGA Junior PGA Championship earlier this year and has also competed in American Junior Golf Association events.
His success follows a strong 2025 high school season with Coral Glades. Peeler shot an even-par 70 at the BCAA Boys Golf Championship, finishing tied for second based on score. He also opened the season with an under-par round and finished seventh at Districts.
