After being taken in the fifth round of the 2021 MLB draft, Caleb Roberts officially signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Coral Springs native inked a deal for $408,000, which is the slot value for the 138th pick in the draft.
While Roberts has had a ton of individual success, he is always one to credit his family for helping him get to this point.
“It is truly amazing what they do for me, and I am grateful for that,” Roberts said. “I would not be here if it wasn’t for both of my parents.”
Roberts played high school baseball at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, where he was a lifetime .457 hitter. Then, Roberts went onto UNC, where he spent three years and was a top hitter in the ACC this past season.
Next, Roberts will likely head to Rookie Ball with Gavin Conticello, drafted by the Diamondbacks from Marjory Stoneman Douglas.
