Chamber Honors 11 Local Schools with 2025 Micro-Grants at Race for Education 5K

The Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce and its Education Foundation have announced the 11 recipients of the 2025 Micro-Grant Awards, recognizing innovative educational initiatives across Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, and surrounding communities.
The annual micro-grants provide up to $500 each to support projects that enhance student learning in areas including STEM, the arts, literacy, career readiness, environmental studies, and student leadership.
All recipients will be honored during a check presentation at the Race for Education 5K Run/Walk, presented by Amera and brought to the community by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek. Proceeds from the event benefit local student scholarships and future micro-grant programs.

- Coral Springs High School – Blueprinting: “New Minds, New Ideas”
- Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School – Career Compass
- Coral Springs High School – CommTech / Video Production
- Coral Springs High School – Pottery Glazes & Tools: High Fire & Red Edition
- Atlantic Technical High School – From Page to Profession
- Coconut Creek High School – Cougar Science Club
- Coral Springs Charter School – STEM & Science National Honor Society
- Monarch High School – Marine Science Shark Tagging Research
- Tradewinds Elementary School – STEM Interactive Display & Coding Expansion
- Parkside Elementary School – CS Invention Engineering Program
- Country Hills Elementary School – The Liberty Trunk: Revolutionary War Immersive Learning
“These micro-grants help bring creative and meaningful classroom ideas to life,” said Charinus Davis, CEO of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber. “When we support innovative classrooms today, we help build the skilled leaders and professionals our community will rely on tomorrow.”
The Race for Education 5K encourages community participation, with local businesses, families, and students invited to run, walk, or cheer on the honorees. Registration and sponsorship information are available at www.csccrchamber.com/race-for-education-5k/.
The next micro-grant application cycle opens in February 2026.
