The City of Coral Springs encourages good citizenship early by offering local children an opportunity to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Children who attend Coral Springs’ various elementary, middle, or high schools — or live in Coral Springs are eligible to apply for 2022.
By leading the pledge, children learn a valuable lesson in civics while attending their first city commission meeting. They will also be featured on Coral Springs TV, receive a T-shirt, and take their photo with Mayor Scott Brook.
Students lead the pledge only at the commission meetings held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6.30 p.m. The spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
