Not only does the Coral Springs Charter girls soccer remain one of the hottest teams in Broward County, but they also set a school record, scoring 15 goals against Somerset Preparatory Academy Charter School at North Lauderdale.
The Panthers also had an 8-0 win over Northeast High School 8-0 in their first game of the week and then tallied a 1-0 victory over West Boca Raton in their game on Thursday.
This week, CSC had 13 players score goals, including two from Anna Mariano, who leads the team with ten. Sabrina’s Basso scored a pair of goals against Northeast and then registered the lone tally against the Bulls.
Emily Kahler, Sophie Ribeiro, Kayla Kreisler, Camila Ruiz, Lynnae Varkala, Anna Mariano, Marissa Marill, Brooke Catronio, Abigail Foster, and Payton Thigpen all scored goals as well. Kelsey Dunne did not allow a goal for 200 minutes and scored her first goal of the season.
CSC will have to wait until January 3 for their next game when they travel to Pompano Beach High School at 6 p.m. The Tornadoes are currently 10-0 this year and have allowed only five goals all season.
