Coral Springs Football Teams Turn Attention to Next Week After Four Losses

After three Coral Springs high school football teams secured victories last week, four local teams returned to action this week.
Parkridge Christian High School opened the week with a Thursday matchup against Somerset Pre and lost 47-0. The Panthers entered the game after their second victory of the season, defeating Babcock High School and Palm Beach Christian Prep.
Parkridge will face Northeast High School next Thursday, October 2, at 6:30 p.m. The Hurricanes enter the matchup with an 0-5 record.
J.P. Taravella was also in action Thursday but fell 34-6 to South Broward High School. The Trojans’ lone touchdown came on a pass from Jackson Error to Kaden Gadson. JPT dropped to 1-4 and will face Coral Springs Charter next Thursday, October 1, at 7 p.m.
Coral Springs Charter suffered a 27-13 loss to Nova High School on Friday night after earning its first win of the season against Pompano Beach High School a week earlier. The Panthers will now turn their attention to J.P. Taravella, a team they defeated 48-18 in their lone meeting last season.
Coral Glades entered the week after a stunning 26-25 comeback win over Nova, which featured a game-winning touchdown on the final play. However, the Jaguars fell 36-7 to Spanish River Community High School and dropped to 2-4 this season. Next, Coral Glades will face South Plantation High School on Thursday, October 1, at 7 p.m. The Paladins are 3-3 this season and defeated the Jaguars 31-14 in their lone meeting last year.
Coral Springs High School had a bye week and will look to secure its first win of the season against Cooper City High School on Friday, October 2, at 7 p.m. The Cowboys enter the matchup looking to build momentum as the Colts return to action following their week off.
