The Parkridge Christian football team made history on Saturday night, recording the first win in program history with a 30-15 victory over Babcock High School.
After falling to Pompano Beach High School in their inaugural game, the Panthers bounced back behind a dominant all-around performance from Jake Warren.
Warren accounted for five touchdowns, including an 85-yard kickoff return, two touchdown passes to Ramon Brayan and two rushing scores. He also finished with 105 rushing yards while contributing five tackles and a forced fumble defensively.
Silas Greenfield made an impact on defense with six tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery to help seal the victory. Elijah Jimenez led the Panthers with eight tackles and added a forced fumble, while Titus Halulko recorded six tackles and recovered a fumble. Izaiah Campbell also recorded the first sack of his high school career.
Next, Parkridge Christian will return home to face South Miami High School on Thursday, September 3, at 7 p.m.
