Broward County residents can now access select driver’s license and identification services closer to home through the Broward County Tax Collector’s mobile service program.
DASH, short for Driver Assistance Service Hub, uses mobile units to provide services in cities and neighborhoods throughout the county. The program is designed to reduce the need for residents to visit a Tax Collector’s Office.
DASH can process standard driver’s license renewals, replace lost, stolen or damaged licenses, update addresses, process name changes and issue identification cards.
“DASH is another way my office is redefining what government service can look like,” Broward County Tax Collector Abbey Ajayi said. “By bringing Tax Collector services directly into our neighborhoods and communities, we are making government more convenient, accessible and efficient.”
Services are available only to Broward County residents, and confirmed appointments are required. Locations change regularly, and space may be limited.
Residents can contact their city officials to learn when DASH will visit their community or check the Broward County Tax Collector’s event calendar for upcoming locations and appointment information.
Those with appointments should arrive on time and bring all documents required for their transaction. Depending on the service, documents may include a current Florida driver’s license, a state identification card, a valid U.S. passport, a marriage certificate, or proof of residency.
DASH accepts credit and debit cards only. Cash and checks are not accepted. Missing documents or an invalid payment method may prevent the transaction from being completed.
Local officials and community organizations may also request a DASH mobile unit for an upcoming event.
