Comcast Business has rolled out a larger bundle of connectivity and security solutions aimed at helping small businesses across the United States stay connected, protected and ready as the year-end rush approaches and beyond.
The initiative, announced Monday, includes several new and upgraded services:
- Expanded dedicated internet with symmetrical speeds of up to 300 Mbps/300 Mbps, now available to more than 3.5 million businesses nationwide. That represents about a 50 percent speed boost and a 40 percent extension in reach since February 2025/
- A full-coverage WiFi extender system designed to eliminate dead zones and provide consistent connectivity for staff, customers, and guests.
- A “Wireless Connect” offering that combines Comcast Business internet service with dual cellular networks and access to millions of WiFi hotspots; the system automatically switches to the strongest network and includes battery backup for up to eight hours during power outages.
- A new cybersecurity product, under the beta name “SecurityEdge Preferred,” which brings enterprise-grade firewall protection, malware/phishing/ransomware prevention and botnet defense to small businesses — no extra equipment required beyond a business gateway.
- For a limited time, eligible new customers who switch to a qualifying gig-speed Internet package will receive a $1,000 prepaid card “Holiday Bonus.”
Christian Nascimento, senior vice president of Connectivity and Digital Customer Solutions at Comcast Business, emphasized the importance of small businesses to local economies and the need for secure, always-on connectivity.
“Small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities and local economies,” said Nascimento. “From powering point-of-sale systems to fulfilling online orders and staying connected with customers, small businesses depend on secure, always-on connectivity.”
As small businesses increasingly rely on cloud applications, point-of-sale systems, video conferencing, and online ordering, robust connectivity and cybersecurity become essential. Comcast Business’s upgraded offerings match this trend by focusing on reliability, speed, and protection, rather than basic internet service alone.
With the tail-end of the holiday season ahead for many retailers and service firms, the new bundle may help local businesses avoid disruptions caused by outages, weak networks, or security breaches.
For business owners in Broward County and the NW Broward region, these new services from Comcast Business may represent a meaningful upgrade option — especially for firms that are expanding online operations, serving customers in-store and digitally, or seeking to reduce risk from cyber threats.
Interested businesses should review whether they qualify for the Holiday Bonus offer and whether their location is covered by the expanded Dedicated Internet service.
