Comcast is making significant strides in enhancing internet connectivity in Coral Springs by expanding its next-generation fiber network.
The family-friendly community, known to have “Everything Under the Sun,” will soon be able to add Xfinity to its list. Comcast recently announced that the company will build its next-generation fiber network across the city. Work is ongoing and will continue through 2025.
Comcast’s significant investment will bring fast, reliable internet to thousands of homes and businesses in Coral Springs. Among those most excited for a new era of connectivity are Comcast employees, who say they’re lucky to call Coral Springs home. Employees like Dawn Loewinthan will soon be able to sign up for services from their favorite and trusted provider.
Loewinthan, a Senior Comcast Business Account Executive, has lived in Coral Springs for more than 30 years. She works with Broward County businesses to customize connectivity solutions, improving their employee experience, safeguarding their networks, and helping them deliver for their customers.
“I love connecting with my customers and developing a great relationship,” Loewinthan said. “It is a great feeling knowing that I’m helping them run their businesses more efficiently. Our products make that easy.”
Loewinthan said it’s a dream come true to see Comcast expanding its state-of-the-art network. With a teenager at home, Loewinthan said she’s ready for reliable, ultra-fast internet to power all of their devices.
“I can’t wait for my address to become serviceable as construction in Coral Springs continues,” she said. “My neighbors are eager too, and I can’t wait to tell them all we’re in town!”
Jason Rigg, a Comcast Business Technician, recently became one of the first ten customers to sign up. Rigg recalled how a Xfinity sales representative knocked on his front door. It didn’t take much convincing. Rigg signed up for services on the spot.
“I knew Comcast would eventually come to Coral Springs, and I was patiently waiting for the day,” Rigg said. “I was super excited when Matt, with the sales team, knocked on my door to sell me services.”
As an experienced and trusted technician serving Coral Springs, Rigg is deeply connected in the community.
“I love meeting new people and learning about them. I’m a social butterfly, and I can talk to anyone,” Rigg said. “I like to get to know my clientele.”
Rigg said he’s excited to finally be able to show his family what makes Xfinity so great. From the award-winning voice remote to the reliable connectivity, he’s ready to show off the company’s great products and services to those he loves most.
“My five-year-old and two-year-old daughters spend a lot of time on YouTube,” Rigg said. “Now they’ll get to enjoy learning with a lot less buffering.”

Adam Sweeney is a brand new Coral Springs resident and a Senior Headend Technician. Headends are facilities that make the internet possible for local communities.
“Every day is something different. Working at the headend, it is always something new,” Sweeney said. “I love that I get to learn every day.”
When considering his move to Coral Springs, Sweeney kept a surprising thing in mind … his future internet service provider.
“I bought my house knowing that Comcast was coming to Coral Springs,” he said. “If I wasn’t sure Comcast was coming to the area, we would have moved somewhere else.”
Now that Sweeney is connected, he looks forward to streaming his favorite shows with his girlfriend.
