For the first time in school history, the Coral Glades boys lacrosse team picked up a playoff win against J.P. Taravella High School.
“I’ve run this program for four years, and it’s really fulfilling watching this team achieve this win,” said Head Coach Kyle O’Neil. “We have an enormous amount of talent this year, and we’re going to take this momentum.”
On Monday, Christian Garnett led the Jaguars with six goals, while Kyle Williamson scored three. Alexander Minias recorded three and picked up five assists. Deven Cathcart and Jarrett Archer also found the back of the net twice in their 17-0 win.
The Jaguars evened their record to 7-7 this year but fell to Spanish River Community High School 17-12 in the semifinals.
Garnett ended up finishing the season with over 50 goals. Perez was second on the team, while Minias, Cathcart, and Williamson recorded at least 13 goals.
