The Coral Glades boys soccer team secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Fort Lauderdale High School on Wednesday night.
This was the Jaguars’ fourth win of the season, following previous victories against Coral Springs High School, Coral Springs Charter, and Everglades High School.
“We’ve been hit with injuries pretty hard these last few weeks, so being able to beat a very well-coached and organized fort Lauderdale High school was huge for us, and great momentum going into the heart of our schedule,” said Head Coach Mark Lyon.
David Jimenez recorded the only goal in the game on a free kick, while Simon Utrera had a shutout in net.
Next, the Jaguars are set to play a pair of games before the holiday break. They start playing Boca Raton High School on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 7:30 p.m. before facing Blanche Ely High School on Dec. 22.
