Coral Glades Junior Excels in Academics, Leadership, and Cheerleading

Haley Swickle is a top junior student at Coral Glades High School. A member of the Jaguars cheerleading team, she is ranked third in her class of 650 students with a 5.19 GPA.

She is also secretary for the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Broward County Student Government Association and vice president of the HOSA Future Health Professionals Club. As SGA secretary, she helps plan pep rallies and school events.

Last year, Swickle was part of a team leading a mental health promotion study, which earned a first-place award at a competition in Orlando. In April, the HOSA students presented their study at a national event in Houston.

Swickle is outgoing and loves to plan social events. She also takes very demanding academic courses, including calculus and advanced chemistry.

“My goal is to pursue a career in pediatric oncology,” she said.
