A message from the President of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber:
I hope you were able to enjoy some time off over the summer.
We are looking forward to school being back in person! One of the initiatives of the Chamber’s Education Committee is to work on sponsoring “Welcome Back Breakfasts” for our seven high schools. As we, all know last year was quite challenging and we are all hoping for an easier school year now. Thank you teachers for the incredible job you do!
Thank you to State Representative Christine Hunschofsky for an honest and very informative discussion during the Chamber’s Professional Women’s Alliance (PWA) Luncheon. We appreciate your candor and thank you for all you do for our community!
Currently, we are planning the Chamber’s Grand Gala presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. The gala is on Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Ft. Lauderdale Coral Springs Marriott.
Later this month we will be sending out award nominations as well as sponsorship information. We have added a few new categories of awards this year to correspond with our new mission statement and strategic plan. For those who missed it here is our new mission statement: “We are the voice of business, the engine for economic growth and a champion for a thriving and welcoming community”.
We had an outstanding ribbon cutting for Office Evolution this month and I was so impressed with their business concept. The facility offers unique options for space of all sizes for local entrepreneurs. I feel this encourages local entrepreneurship and is a great asset for the city of Coral Springs!
The Chamber’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (DEI) is hosting quarterly forums to continue to focus on the Chamber’s Diversity initiative. Our next forum is on September 30 at 8:30 a.m. and will focus on small steps that you can use in your business to expand diversity efforts.
I look forward to seeing you at the August Wake Up breakfast at the Country Club of Coral Springs on August 24th! Members, please bring raffle prizes to our events, they’re an EXCELLENT way to get your business’ name out there and be seen by our members as we wrap up each event. We aren’t a Chamber without you!
