As the fall season progresses, Coral Springs Charter continues to shine with athletics as the postseason approaches.
The golf team has improved drastically and recently played well in their last match. Brandon Moll led the Panthers in their latest Coral Springs match at the Country Club. He recorded a 39, Jordan Herman shot a 42, and Jaxson Goldstein recorded a 43.
Edward Canard and Axel Foley played for the boys, while Natalie Conte shot a 46 for the girl’s team, playing alongside Isabella Goodman.
Despite losing their last match, the Coral Springs Charter girls’ volleyball team is 9-5 this year. It will play West Broward High School in their next match on Wednesday, September 25, at 6 p.m. while the swim team prepares for the BCAA Championship on Saturday, September 28.
The Panthers have also shown their speed, with the boys finishing 14th in the Park Vista Cobra XC Invite 2024. Lucas Werth had the top time and placed 54th, followed by Jordan Head in 60th and Austin Stewart in 70th. Brandon Martinez also finished in the top 100, competing alongside Tommy Foster, Shivam Rangoo, and Mason Grech.
The girls finished in eighth place, and Randall Parrott came in 13th place. Lily Richardson followed in 28th, while Alyson Thomas and Cecilia Kozlowski went in the top 50. Mackenzie Maniscalco, Brooke Schwartz, Aliyah Rhoden, Marissa Micioni, and Natalia Gallo raced for the first time. The junior varsity team also impressed, with the boys finishing eighth and the girls coming in fourth.
The Panthers were back at the Dr. Joaquin Garcia HS Bulldog XC Invitational 2024. The boys came in 15th, and the girls came in eighth as a team, with Richardson finishing 26th and Thomas placing 30th. Zoklowski also ran well and came in 45th, followed by Maniscalso, Schwartz, and Sydney McDougal. Aliyah Rhoden, Taylor Hartley, Abby Foster, and Micioni ran in the junior varsity race. Rylie Gentile and Joni Andrews ran in the junior varsity race.
In their third meet, the boys finished third, and the girls came in second. CSC recently competed in the Spanish River XC Invitational 42nd Annual 2024. The girls placed fourth, with Parrott in seventh, while the boys came in 11th, with Matos recording the best time for CSC. The girls team then went on to take first place in the Northwest Area School on Tuesday, with Parrott finishing first overall and Richardson coming in second. The boys finished third, with Head placing 11th individually.
The CSC Middle School team also raced in the Pine Crest Middle School Meet. Andrew Hanson finished first for the Panthers, followed by Roman Kozlowski Mateo Rincon. Lily Ward led the girls and finished 19th, while Olivia Guerra came in 26th, and Ava Higgins finished 45th. They raced again in the Northwest Area School and had several top times, with Higgs leading the boys and Ward shining for the girls. CSC will continue to race in the regular season, gearing themselves up for Districts and Regionals.
