The Coral Springs Charter Girls’ bowling team won the District 14 championship on October 19 in Boca Raton.

The team was 9-0 in all rounds during the competition. Charter’s Jazzy Chung won the singles championship, and Cameron Thiel earned third place in the singles.

The Taravella girls’ team earned third place in the team competition, and Chyanne Van Winkle earned second place and qualified as an individual for the state championship.

The Charter boys’ team earned fourth place, but did not qualify for the state championship.

“Our girls’ team bowled very well today, and I am very proud of everyone on the team. The boys’ team also did very well as a team,” said Charter’s coach Greg Mason.

Charter’s girls’ team and Van Winkle are preparing for the state championship in Orlando on October 27-30.
