Head Coach Charlie Fine has done a spectacular job all season leading his young Coral Springs Charter baseball team.
After going 11-6 in the regular season, the Panthers defeated Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School 5-0 Tuesday night.
On the mound for CSC was A.J. Prendergast. While he did not strike out 20 like he did earlier this season, the junior still pitched well into the seventh inning. Prendergast allowed two hits and struck out eight before Robert Boing came in for the final two outs.
Jeovanni Hernandez drove in two runs, while Gavin Gargiulo and Derek Kreisler each had one. Damian Rodriguez also had a hit and scored two runs.
Up next, the Panthers will play for a District Championship on Thursday, April 29, at 3 p.m. when they face Calvary Christian Academy.
