Coral Springs Charter softball started the postseason out as they did so often in the regular season with a dominating victory from Brianna Godfrey on the mound Tuesday night versus Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School.
The junior struck out eight of the nine hitters she faced while the offense scored 15 runs. She also went 2-2 at the plate with a double and registered two RBI’S. Godfrey also scored three runs while Stephanie Basso knocked in two runs.
Bridget Dunham, Christina D’Agostino, Vicki Vasquez, and Alivia Taibl all drove in runs in the big win.
The Panthers will hope to make it six straight District Championships when they face Calvary Christian Academy on Thursday, April 29 at 6 p.m.
Calvary Christian came in with 13 wins this year and defeated Cardinal Gibbons High School in the semifinals.
