City Manager Catherine Givens has been awarded the distinguished Credentialed Manager designation by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), a recognition shared by just over 1,300 local government professionals worldwide.
The voluntary designation honors excellence in leadership, management, ethics, and a lifelong commitment to professional development. To qualify, recipients must demonstrate senior-level government experience, hold an academic degree, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and performance.
“I am honored to receive this designation from ICMA,” said Givens. “It reflects my commitment to transparent, ethical and innovative leadership for the city I proudly call home. I am honored to serve the City of Coral Springs community and will always strive to uphold the core values and vision of our city.”
Appointed in January 2025 as the first woman to serve as Coral Springs’ City Manager, Givens has emphasized collaboration and community engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Finance and an MBA in Global Entrepreneurship and Finance from Florida State University and is active in civic and professional organizations, including the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Leadership Broward, and the Florida Sterling Council.
