The J.P. Taravella football team recorded its first win since 2023 following a win over Pompano Beach High School on Thursday night.
The Trojans had gone 18 games without a win and had also not won since their last victory against Pompano Beach. Eddie James. Kaden Gadson and Jelani Cruickshank all scored touchdowns while Nathaniel Rodriguez added a field goal.
The Trojans will look to secure their second straight win against Northeast High School in their next game on Thursday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m.The Hurricanes went 2-8 last season, with one of their two wins coming against the Trojans. They also beat Pompano Beach High School but dropped their first game of the 2025 season against Pembroke Pines Charter.
