From the Coral Springs City Commission:
From twinkling lights to festive tidings and good cheer, the holiday happenings taking place in Coral Springs this December aim to offer a flurry of opportunities for residents to experience the joy of the season.
Downtown Coral Springs will serve as the holiday epicenter for festive celebrations all December long as part of the reimagined Downtown in December three-part event series. First, residents can mark the official start of the holiday season at Light up the Lawn on Saturday, December 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at City Hall (9500 W Sample Road.) We invite you to join us as we formally light the City Hall Christmas tree while unveiling the new festive light displays, which are available all month for families to take photos and enjoy fun interactions.
Then, the community is invited to shop local and shop small for the holiday as part of the downtown Holiday Market on Saturday, December 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at City Hall. The event will feature local vendors selling various gifts and goods to suit your holiday shopping lists.
The annual Holiday Parade will take place on Wednesday, December 13, along Sample Road from 7 to 9 p.m. This year’s theme, Magical Memories: A Ride Down Memory Lane, aims to evoke fond memories of holidays past and present with uniquely designed floats from local organizations. For all holiday happenings, visit CoralSprings.gov/Events.
As a reminder, Christmas Day falls on a Monday this year. If one of your waste collection days is regularly on Monday, December 25, garbage will be picked up on the next scheduled collection day. While celebrating the holidays, it is important to also remain eco-conscious. Learn more by visiting CoralSprings.gov/HolidayWaste.
As we come together to celebrate the joy of the holiday season, we hope our events and activities invoke a sense of community pride and togetherness. We wish you all a wonderful holiday season filled with joy.
This month’s Commission Meetings will take place on Wednesday, December 6, and Wednesday, December 20, at 6:30 p.m. As always, the public is invited to attend Commission meetings. The meetings are aired on CityTV, Blue Stream Channels 25, 25.7, 725, and on AT&T U-Verse channel 99. Meetings are also live-streamed on CityTV.
