From the Coral Springs City Commission:
April is here and though we know how difficult things have been due to the COVID-19 crisis, we are committed to providing support and confidence to our residents.
We have a multitude of resources to assist residents during this pandemic, they can be found on our website.
Though COVID-19 prohibits us from hosting events, it does not stop our City from working day-in and day-out to provide residents with information, entertainment and so much more! Let’s take a look at what is on the horizon this month in Coral Springs.
On April 19th we kick-off Volunteer Week. Our City is fortunate to have so many volunteers, who donate their time and talent for the betterment of others. Our volunteer core consists of 430 monthly dedicated individuals who are committed to giving back. Last year, our volunteers donated an outstanding 43,341 hours of service. Thank you to our volunteers, you truly make Coral Springs a great place to live and raise a family.
On April 22 we celebrate Earth Day, which promotes clean, sustainable living. This annual event reminds us of Earth’s fragility and the importance of protecting it from pollution. Make sure to practice proper recycling and help our community move towards a more sustainable future.
April 24 is Arbor Day, a great time to celebrate and plant a tree in your yard! Now that we are all remaining home to stop the spread of COVID-19, it is the perfect moment to soak in some vitamin D while planting a tree (or two) of your own.
It is important for Coral Springs residents to remember we are under a Stay-at-Home order. Please continue to practice healthy and safe daily routines to help us mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
