The Coral Springs Craft Guild again recognizes talented young artists by awarding $2,000 in scholarships to high school seniors in 2025.
Since its founding, the organization has distributed over $66,000 in scholarships, continuing its mission to support budding artists in the community.
This year, the Craft Guild will offer one $1,000 scholarship and two $500 memorial scholarships to three deserving students. Eligibility is open to Coral Springs residents, regardless of where they attend school and students enrolled at high schools in Coral Springs or Parkland. Students do not need to be enrolled in an art program—only a passion for creativity is required.
Submissions are welcome from all forms of art, including visual arts, graphic arts, and decorative arts, as long as the work is original. The pieces do not have to be created in a school setting. Applications can be obtained through BRACE advisors at local schools or by contacting Scholarship Chair Stephanie Kraft at stephanie.kraft@att.net.
The deadline for submissions is April 23, 2025. Artwork and applications will be collected from students’ schools that morning and returned the following day. Homeschool students or those attending schools outside the area can arrange alternative pickup options.
The Coral Springs Craft Guild, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been active in the community for 48 years. In addition to supporting young artists, the Guild organizes charitable initiatives, including food drives, donations for the homeless and pet shelters, and crafting projects for nursing homes, first responders, and hospitals. Funds for the scholarships are raised through raffles, donations, and the Guild’s annual Handcrafted Holiday Show, scheduled for November 3 from 5–8 p.m. and November 4 from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. at LaQuinta Inn, 3701 N University Dr.
