The Coral Springs Police Department reported numerous crimes across the city between October 6 and 12, 2025. Please note that the police have redacted the names of victims and addresses of most incidents.
Property Damage:
Reported at various locations throughout the city, including one case involving the City of Coral Springs itself on October 9.
Baker Acts and Risk of Harm:
Multiple Baker Acts were initiated across the week, including cases on Wiles Road, Coral Ridge Drive, and Atlantic Boulevard. Several “Risk of Harm” cases were also documented, primarily involving welfare checks.
Domestic Battery:
Police responded to several incidents of domestic battery between October 6 and 12, including reports on October 6, 10, 11, and 12.
Shoplifting and Retail Theft:
Home Depot on North University Drive reported a theft of $142 on October 7.
Target on State Road 7 reported two separate thefts—one for $45 and another felony retail theft.
Macy’s on West Atlantic Boulevard reported a felony retail theft valued at $870 on October 11.
Burglary and Theft:
A burglary to a business was reported on October 8, along with a burglary to a residence and multiple burglary conveyance incidents.
Grand thefts were reported on several dates, with losses ranging from $219 for a stolen firearm to $34,000 in property losses.
Fraud and Identity Theft:
Several reports of fraudulent credit card use and identity theft were recorded throughout the week. One victim reported a $70,000 fraud loss.
Criminal Mischief:
Multiple incidents of criminal mischief were reported, including vehicle and business damage exceeding $1,000.
Robbery and Assault:
A strongarm robbery on October 11 resulted in a $750 loss.
On the same day, an aggravated assault was reported involving a victim identified as Prashant Rajput.
Extortion and Harassment:
A Coral Springs resident reported an extortion/blackmail case on October 11 with a loss exceeding $4,500.
Another victim reported harassing phone calls earlier in the week.
Miscellaneous Reports:
Officers also responded to calls regarding suspicious incidents, lost property, and medically attended deaths.
Arrests
Paola Marina Chaves, 46 – arrested for battery/dating violence on Oct. 6.
Anderson Gonzalez-Buitrago, 44 – arrested for shoplifting/petit theft on Oct. 7 at Home Depot.
Kemar Welch, 44 – arrested for driving with a suspended license (third or subsequent offense).
Phillip Ray Garner, 37 – arrested for false imprisonment against the victim’s will.
Wilder Pelaez, 44 – arrested for driving with a suspended license.
Dwayne John Blake, 39 – arrested for trespass while armed.
Jeremiah Gipson, 18 – arrested for retail theft at Target.
Travis Scot Cunningham, 46 – arrested for petit theft (third subsequent offense).
Acxell Jethzael Garcia Blanco, 18 – arrested for violating a domestic violence injunction.
Chenet Simeon, 36 – arrested for trespass after warning.
Travers A. Jones, 37 – arrested for loitering or prowling.
Marwa Cherif, 34 – arrested for grand theft/retail theft between $751–$5,000 at Macy’s.
Queniece Brandi Harris, 29 – arrested for simple battery.
Torwin Bryone’ Reynolds, 23 – arrested for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer (verbal threat with a weapon, no intent to kill).
Jean Francis Voltaire, 39 – arrested for domestic battery.
