Coral Springs High School AFJROTC Concludes Terrific Season

Coral Springs High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps wrapped a tremendous season, competing in five events throughout the year.
Under the leadership of Sargent William Ethridge, who spent 16 years in the Air Force, he is in his sixth season at Coral Springs High School.
"It's very rewarding for me to see how raw these kids come in and how quickly they adjust," said Sargent Ethridge. "They have a ton of respect for me, and all they want to do is get better."
In their first event at Everglades High School, 2nd Lt Xavier Bettencourt Received the Spirit Award for the Only Air Force School to Attend an Army Competition. After that, Maj Miguel Gimenez came in first in Color Guard. The Colts then had two students place third, including 1st Lt Samantha Quinn Exhibition and A1C Katherine Kutsar in the AS1 Drill and AS1 Inspection.
The Colts then competed at Osceola High School and saw 1st Lt Aiden Sullivan win Best in Armed Squad Commander and comes in second Armed Squad. Maj Miguel Gimenez won Best in Color Guard Commander, and 1st Lt Samantha Quinn came in third in the exhibition.
CSHS has six students in the top three in their meet at Monarch High School, highlighted by Maj Miguel Gimenez, 2nd Lt Malik Walke, 1st Lt Adriela Rodriguez, and Maj Andrea Pineda before Kutsar won first in Female Armed Exhibition during the District Championship.
1st Lt Wilkens Dorce came in second in Unarmed Exhibition Platoon while Maj Miguel Gimenez placed third ii in Male/Mixed Armed Exhibition Squad and Male/Mixed Unarmed Squad.
