Coral Springs High School girl’s soccer team earned a dominating 8-0 win over Northeast High School Tuesday night.
The Colts moved to 1-0 for the first time since 2014 and are coming off a season where they went 3-4-1. CSHS also had a victory in the postseason over Monarch High School.
Hannah Shay recorded a hat-trick with three goals and also added an assist. Andrea Orjuela added a pair of goals while Briana McDonald, Kaylee Salvatierra, and Jazmyn Frederick scored one. Salvatierra also had two assists and Fabiana Villegas Farias also had one.
“I absolutely love the youthful energy we got going,” said Head Coach Mike Guardino. “This is a team that loves being together, and we are expecting to have a strong season.”
Next, Coral Springs will play on Wednesday, November 10, against Cypress Bay High School at 6 p.m. The Colts also have big games against Coral Springs Charter, J.P. Taravella, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Cooper City.
