Coral Springs High School pitcher Saul Betancourt officially committed to playing college baseball at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Betancourt pitched in nine games this past season for Coral Springs High School, earning a win and pitching to an era of 3.00. He struck out 30 hitters in 37.1 innings pitched and had a win during his sophomore season with the Colts.
"I would first like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to play the game I love," said Betancourt.
He also thanked his family, teammates, and coaches, especially Coach Brown, who has played a significant part in his development on and off the field.
IUP had an incredible season last year, winning 41 games and reaching the NCAA Div. II College World Series.
