The City of Coral Springs will hold a special Memorial Day Ceremony to honor all Americans who made the supreme sacrifice with their unselfish devotion in order to defend our heritage of liberty and justice for all.
Join city officials, and the Veterans Coalition of Coral Springs on Monday, May 28, at 9 a.m. as they honor of the brave men and women of our military who have given their lives in service to our nation.
Keynote speaker is Retired Lt. Colonel Steven M. Bettner, President of the Broward County Chapter of the Military Officers Association. Bettner was appointed to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point after graduating from High School. He served as a Troop Commander in the 2nd Cavalry Regiment on the East German border and was stationed in Vietnam in 1967, just before the Tet Offensive. After retiring in from the U.S. Armed Forces in 1984 at the rank of Lt. Colonel, he served as the Army Marketing Manager for General Electric and led a successful consulting company.
On Thursday, June 14, return at 9 a.m. to Veterans Park for a brief Flag Day Ceremony at Veterans Park.
