A Coral Springs man died after was he was hit by a car after he was inspecting his own car after a crash early Saturday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, after being involved in a previous traffic crash Diego Vanegas Gomez, 47, of Coral Springs was walking in a westerly direction from the east grass shoulder on the Sawgrass Expressway north of Atlantic Boulevard when the vehicle driving northbound by Darlyn Gomez, 58, struck Gomez and he was thrown into the roadway.
No alcohol was involved, and the crash remains under investigation.
