Coral Springs Offers Multiple Options for Christmas Tree Disposal and Recycling

Residents looking to dispose of their Christmas trees after the holiday season have several convenient and environmentally friendly options available in Coral Springs.

Before discarding a tree, residents are reminded to remove all ornaments, lights and tinsel.

One option is the Broward County Chip-A-Tree Program, which allows residents to drop off natural Christmas trees at participating Broward County parks, where they will be recycled for landscaping use. A limit of two trees per vehicle applies. Artificial trees and commercial vehicles are not permitted. Park entrance fees will be waived on weekends and holidays for those dropping off trees for recycling. A list of participating locations is available on the Broward County website.

Residents may also place Christmas trees out for bulk pickup on their regularly scheduled collection day. There is no need to call for service unless the tree is not collected as scheduled. Residents of multi-family communities should check with their homeowners’ association for specific bulk pickup guidelines.

Another disposal option is the city’s Waste Transfer Station, where residents may drop off Christmas trees on Saturdays and Sundays.
