The Coral Springs and Parkland Democratic Club gathered community members and political figures at Sherwood Forest Park for its eagerly anticipated annual Family Fundraiser and BBQ.
The event was a blend of family fun and community engagement, and despite the high temperatures on Saturday, it continued as planned.
Amber Vaughan, President of the Club, opened the event with heartfelt thanks to the attendees, including notable figures such as Rep Christine Hunschofsky, Commissioner Joshua Simmons, and Broward Democratic Party Chair Rick Hoye.
Each was acknowledged for their ongoing support and contributions to the community and the party.
The fundraiser also highlighted the participation of top donors who play a crucial role in the club’s activities, including Hunschofsky, members of the United Federation of Teachers—Clarence Reynolds and Karen Grant—as well as Al Pollock, a candidate for Sheriff, Abbey Ajayi, running for Broward County Tax Collector, and Congressman Jared Moskowitz.
The Coral Springs Senior Center at Sartory Hall will host the next club meeting on Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m. Members will discuss and organize monthly canvasses, postcard parties, and phone banks.
