Coral Springs is prolonging the application window for rental and utility assistance applications, and now drop-off applications are also being accepted.
Utilizing funds Broward County secured through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), the city had originally placed October 30, at 3 p.m. as the cutoff.
Now residents have until November 1 to apply for relief due to missed payments of rent or utility from April 1 because of loss of income, reduction in hours, or unemployment due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The new in-person deadline for securing up to the maximum $10,000 allocated is:
Thursday, October 29, from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday, October 30, from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 31 – 9 a.m. – Noon
Sunday, November 1 – 9 a.m. – Noon
Bring completed applications and all pertinent documentation to the Coral Springs Gymnasium at 2501 Coral Springs Drive.
If you cannot attend one of the in-person events, return all completed information and documents to the drop-box located outside of City Hall from November 2 – November 6, at 9500 W. Sample Rd.
Funding is limited, and assistance will be provided on a first-come and first-approved basis. To view eligibility requirements, the necessary documents, and to print the application, visit www.coralsprings.org/rentals.
