Sign your child up to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at the Coral Springs City Commission meetings, and in turn they receive a valuable civics lesson.
You can’t teach a better lesson than having your child see what goes on in City Hall, and now is your chance to do so. Children must be elementary, middle or high school, but do not have to attend a school in Coral Springs. All public and private school students are eligible as well.
Besides a great learning experience, your child will be televised on Coral Springs TV. Â They will also be able to share this as all meetings are videotaped to watch online at a later date. Â They will not only meet the Mayor, Commissioners, and City Manager, but they will also receive a T-Shirt.
Commission meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6.30 p.m. and the spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Anyone interested in participating should call Lydia Cutz at 954-344-1063 or e-mail lcutz@coralsprings.org with the student’s name, school name, grade and the date they would like the student to participate. City Hall is located at 9551 W. Sample Road.

Thank you Mayor Roy Gold for including our children in your city meetings. Through our children, maybe our parents will get involved as well. Good citizenship can start with our city.
