The Coral Springs City Commission will host a series of public forums this fall to educate residents and business owners about a proposed constitutional amendment affecting property taxes and its potential impact on city services.
The decision was made during the City Commission’s June 24 workshop, where commissioners directed staff to organize the informational meetings.
Although the first event was initially promoted as a town hall, future sessions will be referred to as Public Forums to better reflect their purpose.
The forums are scheduled for:
- Tuesday, August 25, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
- Thursday, October 08, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
The forums will be held at City Hall Commission Chambers, 9500 West Sample Road.
According to Lynne Martzall, the city’s executive director of communications and intergovernmental affairs, the meetings are designed to provide factual, nonpartisan information about how Coral Springs funds municipal services, the programs that contribute to the city’s quality of life, and the potential budget implications if voters approve the proposed constitutional amendment.
The forums will also give residents, business owners, city staff and elected officials an opportunity to ask questions and engage in public discussion about the proposal.
Martzall emphasized that the forums are intended solely to educate the community about the city’s budget, funding sources and service delivery.
The city is not advocating for or against the proposed ballot measure but is providing factual information to help residents make informed decisions.
