A Coral Springs woman has died from injuries suffered in a traffic crash last month, authorities said Wednesday.
Cynthia Tassy, 48, was driving a 2006 Honda Element west in the 800 block of East Sample Road in Pompano Beach shortly before 9 p.m. Sept. 13 when she lost control while changing lanes, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the Element struck a concrete center median, veered back into traffic, and struck a 2022 Toyota driven by Pedro Ocasio-Latorre, 58, also of Coral Springs.
According to BSO, the Element then veered northbound across East Sample Road and struck a tree.
Tassy was rushed to Broward Health North for her injuries. According to the Broward Medical Examiner’s Office, she died on Oct. 11.
Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the crash.
