It was a year to remember for the Coral Springs High School track and field team.
Following a strong regular season, the Colts were terrific in both Districts and Regionals. They had Louma Dufresne and Niesha Aldajuste qualify for the State Championship at the University of North Florida.
Dufresne, who earned a first-place victory in Regionals, came in 12th in the shot put at States. For Aldajuste, she finished in 15th place at States after coming in second in Regionals.
Both Dufresne and Aldajuste are set to graduate this spring and hope to continue their college track and field careers. Dufresne was recently accepted to Florida State University.
