
Thaddeus “Teddy” Richards {BSO}
The Florida Panthers have suspended equipment manager Thaddeus “Teddy” Richards after his arrest in Coral Springs on misdemeanor domestic violence and unauthorized 911 use charges.
According to CSPD arrest records, Richards, 43, was arrested and charged with domestic violence, battery involving touch or strike, and unauthorized use of 911 services.
An arrest report detailing the allegations was not immediately available Friday.
In a statement, the Panthers said they are aware of Richards’ arrest and have suspended him from all team activities and facilities pending the outcome of the investigation.
“We have been made aware of an incident involving the arrest of Equipment Manager Teddy Richards,” the team posted on X, “Mr. Richards has been suspended from all team activities and facilities pending investigation.”
Richards has served as the Panthers’ equipment manager since the 2016-17 season and has been part of the organization during its recent Stanley Cup championship runs.
He has also worked internationally as equipment manager for the U.S. men’s national hockey team, serving during the NHL’s 4 Nations Face-Off in 2025 and at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.
