ColorOnly is announcing new expansion plans with a high-profile celebrity guest and brand ambassador for the company.
Fran Drescher, a brand ambassador for ColorOnly, visits the 2712 N. University Drive location on Monday, Oct. 31, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
“The Nanny” star’s appearance comes as the company plans to announce 500-plus locations by 2025.
Her appearance will include a stand-up comedy routine, a meet-and-greet opportunity, and an interview with Mike Sherman, host of “Before the Fame.”
Business consultants, new, curious, and existing clients, members, and fans are welcome.
ColorOnly’s express salon concept allows women to get root touchups and other services in under 30 minutes for $30 per month.
According to Trish Plateroti, director of operations, the express service is possible with the technology the company revolutionized. ColorOnly uses an automated machine that allows stylists to mix, dispense, and apply permanent hair dye in as little as 15 minutes.
The business opened in late 2020 amidst the pandemic. Plateroti said this initially made launching its express service concept difficult, but she is proud ColorOnly is hosting its first major event and welcoming itself to the community.
“It definitely was a challenge, but it was a welcome challenge,” she said.
Steve Drescher, CEO and cousin of Fran, stated customers no longer have to choose between price and quality of service or convenience.
“We naively think we must sacrifice one for the other,” he said. “We at ColorOnly are proud to bring to consumers the first hair color salon that provides clients a better-quality product with more convenience (less time) at a drastically lower price.”
Fran will also discuss her nonprofit organization, Cancer Schmancer. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go toward the organization.
The nonprofit’s name came from a 2002 book Fran wrote following her battle with uterine cancer. She started the organization in 200focusingses on saving women’s lives through prevention and early detection.
“ColorOnly is proud to support Cancer Schmancer and, as the brand grows,s will be a major supporter to its cause and other charities for women’s empowerment and health worldwide,” Steve said.
Fran also expressed her optimism about ColorOnly, stating she is excited for people worldwide to experience all the company offers.
“I am very proud to be the hair, face, and voice of the ColorOnly brand,” she said. “I cannot wait to get this new ‘Fantastic’ product into the hands and hair of women and men worldwide. And yes, I use ColorOnly every month and love the results.”
