Looking for a fun-filled outdoor summer camp experience for your kids? Look no further than Spitfire Farm Horse Camp in Coconut Creek.
Owned by Ejola and Paul Cook, the premier equestrian facility houses 36 horses on five acres and offers an unforgettable summer camp experience for children aged six and up.
As a working mother of four, Ejola knows the importance of keeping kids active and engaged without relying on electronic devices. Spitfire Farm Horse Camp offers exciting activities to get kids outside and explore the world around them. From learning about the parts of a farm to caring for horses, campers go on scavenger hunts, play tag, and take nature walks. With five acres of space to roam, plus an air-conditioned clubhouse, there are plenty of opportunities for fun.
But that’s not all – Spitfire Farm Horse Camp offers an immersive experience for kids of all levels of experience, from those who have never ridden before to experienced competitors.
A Typical Day
The Cooks keep the camp reasonably small, with a maximum of 20 campers to ensure everyone gets a hands-on experience. Campers wear long pants and closed-toed shoes, bring a change of clothes, sunscreen, a packed lunch, and water or Gatorade.
Children six and older are placed into groups based on their age and skill level, and each day starts with taking the horses out and grooming them, followed by riding lessons and trail rides, weather permitting.
After lunch, campers enjoy various activities, including arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, and visits from equine industry experts such as veterinarians and farriers.

And don’t worry about rainy days – the fully air-conditioned camp clubhouse provides a comfortable space for indoor activities and learning about horse care.
Spitfire Farm Horse Camp has a counselor-to-camper ratio of one to three or four, ensuring personalized attention and an unforgettable experience for your child. And what’s more, campers love returning to Spitfire Farm year after year for the friendships they make, their fun, and the sense of accomplishment they feel from their days of riding and caring for horses.
