For art enthusiasts, a Halloween-themed craft show is coming to town.
Korina’s Crafty Creations will host South Florida’s Craft Show Halloween Bash on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 12:00 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the La Quinta Inn. It will include a best-costume prize for adults and children and trick-or-treating at each vendor’s table.
After moving from New York in 2018, company founder Korina Torres started a group called South Florida’s Crafty Corner, where local small businesses could post items.
Eventually, she discovered a need for indoor events, which led to her starting South Florida’s Craft Show events. Now, Torres hosts monthly indoor shows located inside of La Quinta at 3701 University Drive.
Besides the Halloween Bash, Torres plans to host other holiday-themed events soon.
About 30 vendors signed up as of press time. They include AKB Glitz, SGTieDyes, Sabrina Enchants, Zen Happens, and Cookies by Chels.
For the Halloween show, organizers provide a six-foot table with two chairs; however, they ask vendors to bring a floor-length tablecloth. Vendors cannot bring a second table. Vendors may bring racks, grids, and shelves, but they must fit behind their table.
Tabling slots cost $100, which is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Vendors must be available for the entire show. Masks are optional.
Applications for tables are now open for the Holiday Edition craft show on Sunday, Nov. 28, and the Winter Market show on Sunday, Dec. 19 —both held at La Quinta from noon through 4 p.m.
Korina’s Crafty Creations is also hosting the Holiday Extravaganza craft show planned in West Palm Beach.
While the Halloween show’s goal is for shopping and helping crafters, Torres hopes that families enjoy what the show has to offer.
“It’s a great way for safe trick-or-treating indoors and during the daytime, so parents can dress up their kids and bring them in for the fun,” Torres said.
