Coral Springs Police are asking area residents to help fill their version of Santa’s sleigh, a SWAT truck, and give area kids a special holiday.
On Saturday, December 12, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. CSPD will park their SWAT truck outside Walmart, near Heron Bay at 6001 Coral Ridge Dr.
This is the first time CSPD is filling their SWAT vehicle with gifts instead of officers, and according to Monica Vargas the Community Involvement Coordinator, it is such an important cause.
”We had been looking to do an event like this prior to COVID, but now, especially with the restrictions and so many families needing help this year, it’s important,” she said. “We are hopeful that we can have a great turn out to help the families in need.”
For more information, contact Coral Springs Police Department, located at 2801 Coral Springs Dr.
