The City of Coral Springs invites the community to a poignant evening of remembrance and dialogue at the upcoming “Community Conversation with a Holocaust Survivor,” featuring local resident Eric Lipetz.
This special event is scheduled for Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Coral Springs City Hall, located at 9500 West Sample Road.
Born in Antwerp, Belgium, on October 31, 1936, Eric Lipetz enjoyed a peaceful childhood with his parents and two older brothers until the Nazi invasion of Belgium in 1940 disrupted their lives. His personal narrative offers a powerful testament to resilience and the enduring human spirit in the face of unimaginable adversity.
This event is part of a special meeting of the city’s Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee and aims to foster understanding and community engagement through open dialogue. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear Lipetz’s firsthand account and participate in a Q&A session.
