Imagine School at Broward in Coral Springs has announced that one of its teachers has been named the Regional Teacher of the Year.
Stefanie Shaw, the STEM Lab teacher, has been selected for the honor, which follows her earlier recognition as Teacher of the Year for Imagine School at Broward earlier this year.
Shaw has been a part of the Imagine School at Broward community for nine years, serving in various capacities. According to Principal Debra Darling, throughout Shaw’s career, she has made significant contributions to education and student success, first working as a 2nd and 3rd-grade math and science teacher and then as the grade-level team lead.
She added that Shaw’s dedication was pivotal in helping her students excel academically and guiding her team to achieve the highest grade level Florida Standards Assessment scores for Imagine School at Broward.
“Mrs. Shaw is a team player and always willing to take on a new challenge. One of her greatest successes has been transforming our school’s media center into a STEM Lab, designing the space, and building the curriculum,” said Darling, who added she’s committed to fostering a love of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, which is nothing short of inspiring.
