The City of Coral Springs Parks and Recreation Department is holding its annual King of Coral Springs Chess tournament on Saturday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In partnership with the National Scholastic Chess Foundation, the event will be held at Coral Springs Charter School and is open to elementary school students (ages 5-11) and middle and high school students (ages 12-18).
The King of Chess tournament is free, but all participants and spectators must pre-register at the King of Coral Springs Chess Tournament.
Lunch will be provided for students playing chess. Check-in time will begin at 8 a.m., with chess matches beginning promptly at 9 a.m.
