Invision Theatre Company, based at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, is gearing up for its production of the 2008 Tony Award-winning musical “In The Heights.”
The musical, which features music and lyrics by acclaimed artist Lin-Manuel Miranda and a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegria Hudes, is scheduled for June 7 and June 8 at 7:30 p.m.
“In The Heights” explores life in the vibrant community of Washington Heights in New York City. It paints a picture of a neighborhood filled with hopes and dreams, underscored by the rhythms of three generations of music, and facing the challenges of deciding which traditions to hold onto.
The cast features Drew Ramsarran in the lead role of Usnavi, alongside Noah Noria as Nina, Evan Fuerst as Benny, and Jasarie Mercedes as Vanessa. The ensemble includes a variety of characters who together represent the spirit and diversity of the community.
Invision Theatre Company invites local residents and visitors to experience this energetic and heartfelt production that celebrates the richness of human connections within a community. Tickets are priced between $36 and $43, with special student pricing available at $20.
