Injured Child Airlifted After Crash in Coral Springs

A child riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle in Coral Springs Tuesday morning, according to the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department.
Following the crash in the 11000 block of Sample Road around 7:45 a.m., the 10-year-old boy was transported as a Level 1 trauma alert to Broward Health by the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Trauma Hawk helicopter, authorities said.
The boy's injuries are believed to be non-life threatening, according to Coral Springs Police.
Police said they are investigating the crash. Additional information about the incident was not immediately available.
